Chicago native Cam Jae presents “Pull Up (Thick),” a leak from the upcoming EP, You’re Welcome.

Cam Jae, a native son to the Windy City’s Southside, feels he was born to do just that. Cam has been honing his craft for years starting off with his first mixtape titled, Hermosa The Movie Vol. 1. His lucid lyricism and distinct baritone timbre have new fans enlisting as grateful constituents daily. Cam Jae‘s musical influences range from “Prince to Drake back to Twista..” and can be heard in traces throughout his catalog. The latter artist being also a familial influence as he is Cam‘s older cousin. Releases with fellow Chicagoans, Famous Dex and FBG Duck have lent a core base to the confident young soul-trap crooner. You’re Welcome is the upcoming EP produced mostly by in-house producer, Kendall P and released by their parent label, Gravity Music. This particular brand of “trap soul” music has drawn comparisons to artists like 6lack and K Camp, leading to collaborations with some of the industry’s elite producers for his follow up to You’re Welcome, his debut album, Grateful. With titles like those, stories of both struggle and success are likely, but all we can expect is beaming confidence from the future star for years to come.
